Learn Guitar While Polishing Your Spanish Language

Piano, Singing, Violin, Guitar, Djembe
Instrumental sessions can be booked as a private, or shared lesson, with the exception of piano . The syllabi and teaching method aim to develop technique while teachers assign repertoire that enhances students' interests and levels of abilities. Students are guided to expand their musical skills and improve self-expression through a wide range of musical experiences such as concerts, master classes, recitals and performance appraisals.

Musical Playdate
Musical Playdate is a program for toddlers (1.5 - 3 years old) and their parents or caregivers. It is a 30-minute session of music-based play that includes singing, games, story telling and exploration of various age-appropriate instruments. The program is child-focused which aims to stimulate a child's early musical awareness and learning through music. Expect fun and games as we keep a steady beat and coordinated movements, sing action songs, and experiment with different pitches and timbres. Toddlers respond to music best when they are actively engaged in it. In the class, toddlers are encouraged to listen and respond to music creatively.

Young Musicians
Young Musicians program is a music and movement class designed for children aged 3-5 years. Activities include singing, introduction to music literacy, playing age-appropriate instruments, and moving through dance. Young Musicians program embraces a progressive curriculum to develop young musicians and prepare them later for individual music instruction. Each class is limited to 8 students to create an optimal learning experience.

Choral Training
This is a new offering for children who have passion for singing and performance. The age group for this young treble choir is from 8 to 12 years. Choir members will be trained primarily with techniques focusing on vocal placement, harmony, choreography and stage performance.

Music Theory & Aural Training
Music Theory & Aural Training serves as an enrichment course for high school Music students who need further training in aural skills and additional preparation for music theory. This class will also benefit those who are preparing for their graded practical music examinations with AMEB, ABRSM or TrinityGuildhall

Guidance, Inspiration and Support

Marian Nelson
Director & Founder
Marian founded the Jumeirah Music Centre Perth in 2011 with children in mind and crafted her own music and movement program to create a progressive curriculum to develop young musicians and prepare them later for individual music instructions. Marian holds a master’s degree in Music from UWA and a bachelor’s degree in Musicology from University of the Philippines. She has a licentiate diploma in Vocal Performance from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and a licentiate diploma in Music Education from London Trinity College.
As a vocal artist and performer, Marian made her stage debut in Dubai as the Dew Fairy in an international production of Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel alongside principals from the UK, USA, and Canadian opera companies. Marian has appeared in recitals, concerts, and operatic engagements across the Philippines, United Arab Emirates and Australia. Highlights include solo appearances with the Dubai Singers, Art Song Perth, and Vivaldi's 'Gloria' with the Dubai Chamber Orchestra and Choir.

Tristan Murphy
Visiting Piano Teacher
Tristan graduated from New England Conservatory of Music in Boston studying under Meng-Chieh Liu. Before this, he studied under Mark Coughlan in Perth and graduated from Juilliard Pre-College in New York under Victoria Mushkatkol.
Tristan has given many solo, concerto and chamber performances in places such as New York, Boston, Las Vegas, Aspen, Miami, Canada, Italy, Australia and Korea. He has won many national and international piano competitions including the Australian National Eisteddfod, International Piano Competition for Young Musicians, Pepsi-Co National Concerto Competition and the Miami International Music Festival Competition.
Tristan has also participated extensively in many international festivals and played in masterclasses for great artists such
as Dimitri Bashkirov, Nelita True, Choong-Mo Kang, Ilana Vered, Gary Graffman.

Daniel Zamudio
Guitar / Hand Drum Teacher
Daniel received his Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. His main focus of study is Composition and Music Production with a minor in Latin American music. Daniel has 12 years of experience teaching guitar (electric, acoustic and classical) and has positive reviews from his students. Daniel has played in numerous venues around Boston and Santiago de Chile and has a great passion for teaching and performing.
