Instrumental sessions can be booked as a private, or shared lesson, with the exception of piano . The syllabi and teaching method aim to develop technique while teachers assign repertoire that enhances students' interests and levels of abilities. Students are guided to expand their musical skills and improve self-expression through a wide range of musical experiences such as concerts, master classes, recitals and performance appraisals.
Musical Playdate is a program for toddlers (1.5 - 3 years old) and their parents or caregivers. It is a 30-minute session of music-based play that includes singing, games, story telling and exploration of various age-appropriate instruments. The program is child-focused which aims to stimulate a child's early musical awareness and learning through music. Expect fun and games as we keep a steady beat and coordinated movements, sing action songs, and experiment with different pitches and timbres. Toddlers respond to music best when they are actively engaged in it. In the class, toddlers are encouraged to listen and respond to music creatively.
Young Musicians program is a music and movement class designed for children aged 3-5 years. Activities include singing, introduction to music literacy, playing age-appropriate instruments, and moving through dance. Young Musicians program embraces a progressive curriculum to develop young musicians and prepare them later for individual music instruction. Each class is limited to six (6) students to create an optimal learning experience.
This is a new offering for children who have passion for singing and performance. The age group for this young treble choir is from 8 to 12 years. Choir members will be trained primarily with techniques focusing on vocal placement, harmony, choreography and stage performance.
Music Theory & Aural Training
Music Theory & Aural Training serves as an enrichment course for high school Music students who need further training in aural skills and additional preparation for music theory. This class will also benefit those who are preparing for their graded practical music examinations with AMEB, ABRSM or TrinityGuildhall
